Nonlinear Quantum Matter for AI Imaging and Computing brings together researchers working at the intersection of quantum materials, nonlinear optics, artificial intelligence, computational imaging, sensing, and emerging computing hardware.
The symposium is built around a two-way scientific opportunity: AI and machine learning can accelerate the discovery, simulation, and characterization of quantum materials, while quantum and nonlinear materials can provide new physical platforms for AI, including sensing, imaging, memory, neuromorphic computing, and information processing.
The meeting will explore nonlinear and emergent quantum phenomena, AI-assisted materials discovery, advanced characterization, intelligent photonics, computational and biomedical imaging, quantum sensing, and materials-enabled computing.
A central goal is to connect researchers across physics, materials science, engineering, photonics, computer science, and imaging science, identify shared challenges, and stimulate new interdisciplinary collaborations. The program will feature invited talks, WashU faculty presentations, a student and postdoctoral poster session, and a forward-looking discussion on future research and funding opportunities.
